Overview First level Technologist (A) - Agricultural, forest and biosystems engineering (Prof. Mazzetto Fabrizio) The Free University of Bozen/Bolzano was founded on 31 October 1997 as a multilingual, internationally oriented institution. Rector's Decree n. 1498/2025 of 04.11.2025 Responsibilities Support activities for research and management of the Agroforestry Innovations Laboratory on topics concerning energy applications, operator safety and reduction of environmental impacts associated with agricultural process management. Description of the research activity: Research support activities will be carried out as follows: a) energy: testing tractor engines using a dynamometer brake; using instruments to determine the torque and power absorption of agricultural equipment; support in the development of photovoltaic systems; b) safety: assistance in the development and use of instruments for the automated operational monitoring of agricultural machinery; assistance in tests to determine the stability maps of agricultural vehicles using instruments available at the laboratory; c) environmental impact: assistance in the use of instruments designed to measure the intensity of emissions from agricultural engines, in tests to be carried out in a controlled environment (in conjunction with the engine tests referred to in point a) above) and in full field conditions. Support activities will also include modelling approaches, including the use of CAD tools.
