Post‑Doctoral Fellow – Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) Reference: 533490 Work type: Full-time Department: Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research, Faculty of Education, University of Hong Kong Location: Hong Kong Overview We are seeking a Post‑Doctoral Fellow to join CACLER as part of the Faculty of Education. The Fellow will begin as soon as possible and continue until August 31, 2026. Responsibilities Collaborate with the Lead Researcher on a landscape research and multiple case study of multicultural students in primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong. Oversee the research timeline and develop data‑driven methodology to inform the learning and teaching of Chinese for multicultural students. Design research questions, conduct literature reviews, manage data collection (including questionnaire and interview design), and conduct interviews with target participants. Analyze research data, draft research reports and other resources, and assist in publication of research papers. Liaise with project team members and other stakeholders, provide secretarial and administrative support, and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ph.D. in education, psychology, or a related discipline. Solid educational research experience with expertise in conducting quantitative and qualitative studies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and English. Self‑motivated with ability to work independently and in a team. Familiarity with educational contexts in Hong Kong is an advantage.
