Finance Controller Specialist

About the Role We are looking for a dynamic and proactive professional to join H-FARM School , part of the Nord Anglia Education European Region , as an Accounting & Controlling Specialist . The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner to the management team, with both operational and managerial responsibilities in the accounting and financial areas. In addition to overseeing daily accounting activities, they will play a key role in preparing financial statements, managing controlling processes, and analyzing financial data to support strategic decision‑making and optimize administrative processes. This role will collaborate closely with both school and regional teams, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and a strategic vision in all financial and accounting matters. Key Responsibilities Accounting and Financial Statements Manage general and analytical accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations and Nord Anglia standards. Prepare periodic financial statements, reports, and cost analyses, supporting management in strategic planning. Controlling Analyze accounting and operational data to identify efficiency areas and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with teams to optimize administrative and accounting processes. Process and Supplier Management Coordinate relationships with suppliers, external consultants, and auditors. Ensure contractual compliance and monitor the performance and costs of external services. Leadership and Collaboration Work closely with school and regional teams to integrate accounting and management information into decision‑making processes. Promote a culture of transparency and continuous improvement within the administrative office. Compliance and Reporting Ensure compliance with local tax, accounting, and legal regulations. Prepare periodic reports for regional and central management, supporting audits and internal reviews. About You You are an accounting professional with a managerial mindset, combining strong technical expertise with analytical and strategic skills. You thrive in dynamic and complex environments, collaborating with diverse teams and supporting data‑driven decision‑making. Qualifications & Training Degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field. Significant experience in accounting, financial statements, and controlling. Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting systems; experience with ERP software is a plus. Excellent command of written and spoken English. Skills & Attributes Strong analytical skills and results‑oriented mindset. Accuracy, autonomy, and organization in managing deadlines and complex processes. Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills. Proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement. Experience in budget and supplier management.
