Travel Nuclear Medicine Tech - $2,406 per week in Tulsa, OK

Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred License: Valid Allied license required Certifications: NMTCB and PET Must-Have: Competency in PET and general nuclear medicine (no cardiac) Description: Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures. Candidate must be competent in PET and general nuclear medicine. Experience with Siemens PET CT and Siemens and Phillips nuclear medicine cameras is preferred. Rotation weeks of on-call for emergency cases are required. No minimum experience is required, making this a welcoming opportunity for first-time travelers. The daily census in the unit is typically 8-10 patients. The facility has two GE gamma cameras and an uptake system. Responsibilities include various nuclear medicine studies including SPECT and other general nuclear medicine studies. Skills required include starting and maintaining IVs, drawing venous blood, and storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support includes services such as interpretation services and pharmacy. Travelers are expected to float to like units within their scope based on facility needs. Brief orientation will be provided upon arrival.
