Payroll Specialist

What You Get Competitive salary 29 days annual leave (increasing with service) including bank holidays Flexible working Pension scheme Life assurance cover Hybrid working options Opportunities for career progression and professional development About You Minimum of 3 years experience in a busy payroll environment Proficient in Sage Payroll or similar payroll software Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Highly organised, with the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning About Your New Role Always: Deliver accurate and compliant payroll processing across multiple pay frequencies Maintain professionalism when liaising with clients, colleagues, and external partners Take responsibility for your work, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy Often: Process starters, leavers, and salary adjustments, including statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.) Manage pension auto-enrolment and ensure compliance with reporting requirements Prepare and submit payroll reports, P45s, P60s, and year-end documentation Handle payroll queries promptly and professionally Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency Occasionally: Support with ad hoc payments and BACS submissions Assist with payroll-related projects or process improvements Provide administrative support to the wider finance function when required Never: Be limited to one routine this role offers exposure to varied payroll and finance operations Miss an opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement and client satisfaction Interested?
