Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Design Engineer (Contract – Outside IR35) Location: North London (Office-Based) Contract Duration: Minimum 6 Months ️ Sector: Building Services / Data Centre We’re looking for a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join a dynamic engineering consultancy on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-impact data centre and building services projects, working within a collaborative and forward-thinking team. What You’ll Be Doing Conduct site surveys, testing, and reporting on existing installations Attend technical meetings with design teams and contractors Perform electrical calculations using Amtech, ProDesign, or similar tools Prepare technical drawings and tender specifications Mentor and support junior engineers and trainees What You’ll Bring Proven experience in electrical design across various building types Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) Familiarity with British Standards and building regulations Excellent time management and attention to detail Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines Preferred Qualifications Degree in Electrical or Environmental Engineering HNC/ONC/BTEC in Building Services Engineering or equivalent This role is outside IR35 and based on-site in North London.
