Senior Optical Systems Design Engineer

My client is looking for an on-site, Senior Systems Design Engineer to join their Optics and Fibre Optic R&D team, based in Torquay. Your Responsibilities: Be the technical design and development lead of fibre optic sub-systems Engagement and management of the entire production process Create and execute test plans for photonic components and systems General project management - meet deadlines, customer interaction and deliver technical reports Must Haves: PhD in Engineering or Physics Optical amplifier and high power fibre optics experience Fibre optic/laser product development experience Good Skills to Have: Building and testing fibre-optic components/opto-electronic modules experience Management experience Optics/Photonics Industry experience Benefits: Company pension scheme Bonus scheme Healthcare reimbursement Solid career progression and development
