Head of Network Engineering - Financial Services A prominent organization in the capital markets and financial infrastructure domain is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its enterprise network function. This company plays a vital role in enabling secure and efficient trading and financial operations, with a strong emphasis on innovation, resilience, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the robustness and performance of the company’s network systems, which support mission‑critical services. Responsibilities Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the network infrastructure across data centers, trading platforms, and enterprise systems. Lead a team of engineers responsible for network reliability, monitoring, and continuous improvement. Ensure seamless collaboration with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams. Maintain operational excellence, risk mitigation, and service reliability within highly regulated environments. Qualifications At least 10 years of experience in network engineering, design, and architecture, ideally within capital markets or regulated industries. Deep expertise in network protocols (BGP, MPLS, SDN), enterprise hardware (Cisco, Arista, Juniper), and network security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs). Proven ability to design and architect complex network systems across data centers, cloud, and enterprise environments. Experience with automation, scripting, and cloud networking (Python, Ansible, Terraform, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes) is highly desirable. Hands‑on experience with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, and Splunk, with a strong focus on proactive performance monitoring, fault detection, and incident response. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills; certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or CISSP preferred.
