In-House Professional Negligence Solicitor

Oculus Legal Group is proud to be partnered with a highly regarded firm that is seeking a seasoned litigator to join their expanding team. The General Counsel is looking for an experienced litigation lawyer to take on a pivotal role providing strategic in-house advisory support. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll manage professional liability claims, client complaints, and insurance matters, helping protect the firm from legal and reputational risk. The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 5–10 years’ PQE gained in commercial litigation, professional negligence, or insurance disputes—ideally with experience handling claims against solicitors or other professionals. This position offers the opportunity to move away from fee-earning while using your contentious experience in a strategic and collaborative environment. Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple complex matters with confidence and discretion.
