System Engineer

Belcan are recruiting for System Engineers with Matlab Simulink experience on a Contract basis (Inside IR35) with Hybrid or Remote working options. As a Systems Engineer will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimising engineering system models in Simulink for Aerospace and Marine applications. We are looking for Systems Engineers who have a deep understanding of control systems, signal processing, and model-based design. You will then use MATLAB to generate the code for the Simulink model, to optimise models for performance, accuracy, and resource utilisation. You will create comprehensive documentation for models, including user guides and technical specifications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and project managers, to integrate Simulink models into larger systems. This is for a Marine platform on a new Active Vehicle Control System, a type of hydrostatic / hydro dynamic autopilot system. Ideally the successful Systems Engineer will be degree qualified with previous experience in the above Systems or transferable Systems skills and a proven track record in Engineering. Successful applicants must have or meet eligibility requirements to obtain UK Security Clearance.
