Electromechanical Draughtsman – Permanent Opportunity Location: Leicester, UK We’re currently supporting one of our long-term clients, a leading engineering organisation within the power and electrification sector , who are looking to hire an Electromechanical Draughtsman to join their growing design team. Role Overview: You’ll be responsible for producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings for electrical and mechanical assemblies, supporting the design, build, and commissioning of bespoke equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong draughting experience who enjoys collaborating closely with both design and production teams. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed electromechanical drawings, layouts, and schematics using Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD Interpret design concepts, specifications, and engineering data. Support engineers in developing new and existing product designs. Ensure all drawings comply with relevant engineering and industry standards. Work cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to resolve design and production challenges. Requirements: HNC/HND or equivalent Proven experience as an Electromechanical Draughtsman / Design Draughtsperson in a heavy engineering environment. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, or similar). Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles. Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
