Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the OT Systems and Network Director is responsible for supporting the various teams of OT engineers and programmers in the plants with best practices, technology selection, networking, and OT security. The Director will participate in automation projects with an emphasis on IT/OT convergence, industrial networking, virtualization, and databases in the context of Industry 4.0.We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with high leadership skills and strong communication skills.Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the OT Systems and Network Director is responsible for supporting the various teams of OT engineers and programmers in the plants with best practices, technology selection, networking, and OT security. The Director will participate in automation projects with an emphasis on IT/OT convergence, industrial networking, virtualization, and databases in the context of Industry 4.0.We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a high level of leadership combined with strong communication skills.* Evaluate, plan, recommend, and implement OT environments and associated interfaces to boost operational capacity, efficiency, and service, while adhering to applicable security standards.* Participate in the architecture, design, and deployment of applications and interfaces (PLC, HMI, controller, etc.).* Operate, administer, and develop best practices for IT systems in the operational technology fleet, working with the IT security and infrastructure team, as well as plant engineers and programmers.* Act as the lead for the integrity of OT data and IT environments.* Understand and implement operational best practices that ensure a system is available, reliable, and secure in order to actively consider and mitigate cybersecurity risks in the OT environment, applying best practices and adhering to applicable standards.* Manage the support process and escalations to ensure effective recovery of operational processes in the event of a problem, including analysis. Root cause analysis in response to critical incidents to understand, document, and plan corrective actions to prevent recurrence.* Interact/coordinate/facilitate between the plants and the IT group to facilitate the completion of projects and any changes to the environments.* Collaborate with the site engineering and operations teams to ensure governance and provide advice on the assessment, implementation, and maintenance of the operations network infrastructure.* Collaborate with site engineers and programmers to support the delivery of site capital projects, with deliverables related to the OT network infrastructure.* Manage vendors to ensure services are delivered in accordance with agreed processes and service level agreements, including contract management and scheduled service reviews.Skills:* You enjoy working in a team.* You have good communication skills.* You adapt quickly to change.* You are results-oriented. * You have good analytical skills and enjoy problem-solving.* You are organized, resourceful, and autonomous.* You are a team player with a strong customer service focus.* Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, network infrastructure, electrical engineering, or other relevant training.* Excellent knowledge of OT network infrastructure design, network administration (Cisco CCENT/CCNA), and OT cybersecurity; familiarity with the principles of firewalls and switches such as EWON or similar.* Good knowledge of virtual environments, VMWare vSphere/vCenter, Azure, or AWS.* Good understanding of security and governance practices.* Excellent knowledge and practical experience in automation (5 years), including human-machine interfaces (HMIs) (Wonderware, Ftview, etc.), programmable logic controllers (Allen Bradley, Schneider, and Siemens), OPC connectivity, SCADA, and historian solutions. Must have experience programming PLCs* Field experience in an industrial environment is required* Excellent interpersonal skills are a MUST* Demonstrate a high degree of autonomy, the ability to prioritize and manage emergency situations* Be bilingual (English/French), both orally and in writing* Have access to a car and a valid driver's license* Be willing to travel within Quebec, Ontario, the US, and Mexico
