What this Job Entails: 

The Inventory Management Supervisor has a very dynamic role in the inventory management team that will change day to day. The role is tasked with supervising the team while overseeing all the projects, leading by example. 


  • Directs subordinates to complete tasks using established guidelines, procedures and policies.

  • Monitors daily operations of a unit or sub-unit. Requires full knowledge of the area of functional responsibility.

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform and oversee every aspect of team operations, including inventory and asset management, conference room preventative maintenance, and e-recycling

  • Provide task and project level guidance to the team and site leads

  • Perform customer support for over worldwide users from IT accessory to workstation dressing

  • Use ticketing systems and reporting to monitor individual and team work accomplishments and to track Service Level Agreements (SLAs) & Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Lead and contribute to large scale global projects, escalation response, root cause analysis, and process improvement as needed 

  • Provide input of performance and training needs for all aspects of team responsibilities; including timecards, scheduling and resource allocation, expense, admin, mentoring, training, individual & team performance improvement plans & quality of service delivered 

  • Effectively interface with customer representatives from various stakeholders as needed per site 

  • Assist in customer relation issues in accordance with company policies to promote positive customer experience 

  • Onboarding/orientation of new Inventory Technicians & Site Leads 

  • Manage the training program/team (trainer, assessors, mentors) and sign off on duties as learned 

  • Maintain consistent methods and practices across team 

  • Utilize proper ticket parameters, completeness of ticket log, proper escalation

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 5 to 8 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 

  • Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, and maintaining schedules. 

  • Proven record of strong relationship building & leadership skills

  • Able to work in a large team with minimal supervision 

  • Have a clear understanding of inventory technician service, its value to the client and what is required to create and deliver a high-quality user experience

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Experience with inventory management systems

  • Capable of providing an outstanding user experience

  • ITSM & Inventory management competencies or commitment to obtain relevant certifications 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Proven ability in leading regional / multiple sites

  •  Cultural aware in leading multiple nationalities

  • Linguistically proficient in English and the local language 

  • Ability to make sound decisions when faced with competing priorities

  • Former business IT inventory operations experience desired

  • Customer experience background desired

Physical Demand & Work Environment:

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds or more of equipment safely, multiple times per day

  • Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing

  • Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment

  • Must be able to use a computer

  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively 

  • Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
