Support Worker (Days) – Supported Living & Short Breaks Location: Sunderland Contract: Initial 6-month agency assignment Hours: 33.25 hours per week (including weekends and Bank Holidays) A leading care provider in Sunderland is seeking compassionate, flexible, and values-driven Support Workers to join their Supported Living and Short Breaks Services . This organisation delivers a wide range of high-quality, person-centred care services to vulnerable adults across the city, with a strong focus on promoting independence, dignity, and inclusion.This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting adults with varying needs, including those with mental health diagnoses who may require a period of assessment and rehabilitation.What You'll Do: Work as part of a supportive and dedicated team to deliver person-centred care. Promote independence, choice, and control in daily living for each individual. Ensure the care provided reflects the voices, rights, and preferences of the people supported. Foster a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for all service users. What We're Looking For: A genuine commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care. Strong values aligned with dignity, respect, professionalism, and empathy. The ability to work within structured rota patterns (including weekends and holidays). While previous care experience is welcome, it’s not essential – your attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are what matter most.
