The successful candidate will play a crucial role in empowering and supporting individuals with autism to lead fulfilling lives within their community. As an Autism Support Worker, you will work closely with a team of skilled professionals to deliver person-centred support, focusing on the unique needs and aspirations of each individual. Your primary responsibility will be to assist service users in developing essential life skills, fostering independence, and promoting their overall well-being. Key responsibilities of the role include: Providing personalised support to individuals with autism, tailored to their specific needs and preferences Encouraging and supporting service users to engage in meaningful activities and social interactions Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised support plans Monitoring and recording progress, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting Promoting a positive and inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equal opportunities To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes: Relevant experience in supporting individuals with autism or related disabilities A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships A patient, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to support provision Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of service users Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Proficiency in record-keeping and report writing A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning We offer a competitive salary of £104 per day, along with a supportive and inclusive work environment that values your contributions and encourages personal and professional growth.
