Job Description

Our client is currently seeking six dedicated Behaviour Support Assistants to work full-time, supporting young children aged 4-16 with a range of needs, including Autism and/or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). This position offers a competitive salary of £104 per day. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping students who may find it challenging to engage in a traditional classroom setting. You will work closely with a small group of pupils, providing 1:1 or small group behaviour support for those struggling with regulation. Your primary focus will be to be a consistent, encouraging adult presence that these young people can rely on day-to-day, helping them build trust, resilience, and emotional confidence. Additionally, you will support the class teacher in creating a structured, calm learning environment that fosters growth and development. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working in an SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) or similar environment. You must be patient, resilient, and have a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of young people with additional needs.
