We have an exciting new opportunity for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in our outpatient clinic located in Brooklyn NY. Our organization is a leading non-profit that specializes in the treatment of patients within the under served community suffering from chronic and severe mental illness. As the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you would be working alongside one Psychiatrist and three other prescribers at our outpatient clinic. You would perform anywhere from 1 to 2 psychiatric evaluations per day and given an hour for each one. You would see anywhere from 8-12 patients on a given day. We offer a very flexible schedule and 4-day work week. No weekend or on call required. Please see job highlights below:

Compensation: 135-140k

Responsibilities for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

- Working with adult patients mostly ages 30-60

- Performing psychiatric evaluations

- Medication management (30 minutes allotted)

- Prescribing medication when needed

- Consulting with on-site Psychiatrist and other prescribers

- Working closely with social workers doing therapy

- Documenting all necessary notes in EMR system

Preferred Qualifications for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

- Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN) Accredited PMHNP Program

- Active or in process DEA license

- Active NY medical license

- Must work well in team environment
