TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63110! Pay Information $2,200 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of Level 1 ICU experience required License: Valid State License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: - Critical care experience - Inpatient experience - Level I Trauma Center experience - Phase I PACU experience - Dysrhythmia recognition and management - Blood product administration - Phlebotomy skills - Starting IVs - Administering IV vasoactive medications - ICP monitoring - Care of ventilated patients Description: Open to candidates with Level 2 ICU experience. 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Daily patient census averages 70-90. The unit consists of 38 patient bays. Staff needed for recovery of a wide range of acute postoperative patients. Patients may require artificial airways, invasive monitoring, transfusions, and vasoactive drugs. Surgical patients recovered include those from neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, trauma, general surgery, colorectal surgery, gynecology, urology, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplantation. The unit does not recover open-heart surgeries or liver transplants. Night shift staff must learn to work up preoperative patients. Patient population includes adults, occasional adolescents, and geriatric patients in a Level 1 trauma center. The unit operates 24/7. Will float within scope to meet facility needs.
