Global Category Manager – Packaging Salary: £60k - £65k (£5k car allowance) Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in office) JSS have partnered with a global consumer goods company who are seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead its Base Film category (approx. £41m spend) within the Flexible Packaging portfolio. This is a strategic role focused on delivering value across cost savings, innovation, sustainability, supply continuity, and cash flow improvement. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with R&D, Finance, Operations, and regional procurement teams, and will build and manage key supplier relationships globally. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing a 2–3 year sourcing strategy Driving supplier innovation and sustainability in packaging Leading contract negotiations and global supplier agreements Building cost models and supporting commodity risk management Leading cross-regional collaboration and best practice sharing Candidate profile: 3 years’ experience in direct procurement, ideally in FMCG Expertise in packaging or base films (PET, BOPP, CPP, etc.) Strong commercial, analytical, and influencing skills Experience working in a matrix or global organisation Based in or near London, with flexibility to travel as needed
