This position reports to: R&D Local Unit Lead Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will lead processes to maintain and optimize the efficiency of electrical and mechanical maintenance on laboratory testing equipment, following Maintenance Procedures, machinery manuals, and testing processes. Your work will contribute to the optimization of technical resources. The work model for this role is: onsite. This position contributes to the ABB Electrification Business area, specifically the Smart Power Division in Bergamo, with the main stakeholder being the Research and Development Department. Your main responsibilities include: Defining test sequences, methods of execution, equipment, and instrumentation, ensuring compliance with standards, preparing test setups, and executing tests. Analyzing test results to verify product compliance with applicable standards. Producing and developing test reports for tested equipment. Proposing improvements to existing test techniques, based on experience and new equipment, especially for test and measurement tools. Supporting and assisting customers during testing activities. Qualifications for the role High School Diploma in Electrotechnical field or a Bachelor’s Degree (3 years) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic engineering. Strong electrotechnical knowledge. Manual skills, analytical ability, and result interpretation skills. Computer skills, including programming, office software, and PLC programming. Passion for precision, teamwork, eagerness to learn, and problem-solving attitude. Proficiency in Italian and English. Availability to work in rotating shifts. More about us We value diversity.
