As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking an Assistant Estimator to join their friendly and professional team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent Construction HNC graduate or junior construction professional looking to begin or develop a rewarding career in construction estimating. The Role: Assistant Estimator As an Assistant Estimator, you will be an essential part of the estimating team, supporting the preparation of accurate and competitive cost assessments for construction projects across the region. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in reviewing project requirements and technical specifications. * Support the preparation of take-offs and cost estimates for labour, materials, and equipment. * Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to source and compare quotations. * Contribute to the preparation of tender and bid documentation. * Maintain organised and up-to-date records of all estimates, tenders, and supporting documents. * Learn and apply construction estimating software and industry practices. About You: We’re looking for a proactive and detail-focused individual who is eager to learn and grow within the construction industry. Essential Requirements: * HNC or Degree in Construction or a related discipline. * Strong numerical, analytical, and mathematical skills. * Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability. * Confident with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a desire to progress your career in estimating.
