Your new role Our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join their expanding team in Cheshire. This is a pivotal role that will involve both pre-contract estimating and post-contract quantity surveying on fast-paced commercial fit-out projects. You will work closely with the operations and design teams to deliver projects on time and within budget, from tender stage through to final account. Responsibilities will include: Preparing and submitting competitive tenders and cost plans for CAT A & CAT B office fit-out projects Assessing drawings, specifications, and technical documents to identify risks and opportunities Managing project budgets, valuations, variations, and final accounts Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and account management Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met Supporting the commercial and delivery teams throughout the life cycle of each project Maintaining accurate records and ensuring financial control of projects Conducting site visits and attending project meetings as required What you will need to succeed: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor and/or Estimator within the commercial fit-out sector Strong knowledge of CAT A & CAT B fit-out processes and project lifecycles Excellent commercial acumen and a proactive, detail-oriented approach Confident in producing BOQs, cost plans, and valuations Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication and negotiation skills Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites when needed What you get in return: Competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience Attractive benefits package including car allowance, pension scheme, and 25 days holiday bank holidays A dynamic, supportive working environment with a close-knit team Career development opportunities with a business that promotes from within The chance to work on high-profile office fit-outs with innovative design and build solutions Ready to take your career to the next level in a business that values your expertise and encourages growth?
