Quality Technician

Questech are recruiting on behalf of our client in Halifax, West Yorkshire for an experienced Quality Technician. This client are experiencing substantial growth and are looking to expand their team. Education and Qualifications: * Time-served apprentice with a Quality / Manufacturing background. * Valve / process industry experience is an advantage. * Carry out dimensional and visual inspection of components and assemblies * Assist in the general operation of the Quality Control department * Provide technical assistance and problem resolution on customer, auditors and 3rd party internal quality control issues * Experience in the use of Quality Tools. * Experienced user of CMMs, including Faro Arm, Fixed CMMs, and in particular, Aberlink and PC-DMis software. * Knowledge of alloys, casting, NDT, welding, and coating processes would be advantageous. The Role: * Carry out dimensional and visual inspection of components and assemblies. * Undertake validation and control of inspection, test & witness activities. * Create non-conformance reports. * Provide containment on quality concerns. * Maintain & control calibration of company equipment (inc. system). * Assist in the general operation of the Quality Control department. * Assist in internal audit process to ensure adherence. * Represent the company with customers, auditors and 3rd party inspectors to ensure smooth operation of on-site client inspection / witness. * Provide technical assistance and problem resolution on customer, auditors and 3rd party internal quality control issues. * Develop and drive process improvement towards excellence, “best in class”. * Undertake assignments as directed by the Quality Control Coordinator. * Customer / Supplier contact either directly with the customer or with 3rd party inspectors. * Ensure use of calibrated gauges. * Operate in line with the vision set out by the Quality department. * Ensure all work personally undertaken is carried out in compliance with current H&S rules and safety systems and is in line with the requirements of the duty of care document. * Goods Receiving, In Process and Final Inspection. * Ensure all work personally undertaken within TFT is carried out in compliance with current H&S rules and TFT safety systems and is in line with the requirements of the TFT duty of care document. This role is working a Monday to Friday days pattern. 4 Day working week - working compressed hours is available if preferred The salary is £35,000pa - Excellent benefits package included
