Job Title: Yard Operative (Chemical Manufacturing) Location: Cheshire Hours: Monday to Friday, Days Only (No weekends, Christmas off) Salary: Competitive Excellent Pension & Benefits About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Yard Operative to join our team at a leading chemical manufacturing facility in Cheshire. Key Responsibilities: * Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard environment in line with site safety and environmental policies. * Load and unload vehicles using a forklift truck (FLT). * Handle raw materials, packaging, and finished products safely and efficiently. * Support the operations team with general yard and plant duties as required. * Conduct routine inspections of yard equipment and report any defects. * Ensure compliance with COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) regulations where applicable. Essential Requirements: * Valid FLT licence (Counterbalance or Reach preferred). * Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing yard environment. * Strong understanding of health & safety practices. * Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work. Desirable: * Experience working on a COMAH-regulated site.
