Job Description : We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead - SRE with deep, hands-on experience in cloud automation, network automation, observability, and monitoring. You will be responsible for leading a team of talented SREs to ensure the reliability, performance, sustainability and scalability of our critical systems. You will drive the adoption of SRE principles and practices, mentor team members, and collaborate with various teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Responsibilities : Technical Leadership and Strategy : - Architecture and Design : Collaborate with architects and engineers to design scalable, reliable, and efficient systems. - Technology Selection : Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools to meet the team's needs. - Standards and Best Practices : Establish and enforce coding standards, security best practices, and operational procedures - Mentorship and Coaching : Mentor team members to improve their technical skills and career growth. - Team Collaboration : Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture. - Knowledge Sharing : Encourage knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team. - Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with development, operations, and other teams to achieve shared goals. - Effective Communication : Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Service Reliability and Performance : - Monitoring and Alerting : Implement robust observability practices to detect and respond issues proactively. - Performance Optimization : Proactively Identify and address performance bottlenecks. - Incident Response : Lead incident response efforts, coordinate with other teams, and drive timely resolution. - Post-Incident Analysis : Conduct thorough post-incident reviews to identify root causes and prevent future incidents. - Capacity Planning : Forecast future capacity needs and proactively scale systems to meet demand keeping sustainability in mind. Automation and Tooling : - Automation : Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency. - Tooling : Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance the team's capabilities. - CI/CD Pipelines : Design and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines. - Infrastructure as Code : Promote the use of infrastructure as code to improve consistency and reliability. Security and Compliance : - Security Best Practices: Enforce security best practices while designing new infrastructure. - Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards. - Threat Modelling: Identify potential security threats and implement mitigation strategies. Documentation : - Ensure comprehensive documentation of is available for technical components, scripts/code and associated processes. Qualifications, Experience & Expertise : - A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering with a background in Systems and Software Engineering. - Deep understanding of SRE principles and practices - Relevant certifications (like HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer , CKA , etc.) are highly desirable. - Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams. - 5-8 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, with strong expertise in \ languages like Python, Go. - Proven expertise in designing, building, and managing automated infrastructure in enterprise-grade environments. - Expertise in Automation Tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Packer, Pulumi. - Strong knowledge of cloud platforms - Expertise in CI/CD Tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD , ArgoCD - Strong knowledge of Containers & Orchestrations Kubernetes - Expertise in Monitoring & Observability tools Location : The role can be based in our offices at Mumbai or Bangalore.
