We’re looking for a journalist to join our growing team as a Social Media Manager & Content Creator. Are you are a professional storyteller with marketing experience? Have you worked in radio, TV, print, or online? Want to explore putting those skills to work in the world of digital marketing? We’d like to talk.
As a member of our team, you will build relationships with our clients and create content that helps tell their story. In this role, you will develop, implement, and analyze your clients' marketing strategies. Do you know what works for B2B brands? Are you effective with B2C conversations, brand awareness, and achieving sales? You will distribute that content over social media channels. You will also manage client social media accounts, interacting with fans and followers on their behalf.
You must have a journalism degree or equivalent work experience, be comfortable with the major social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) and possess a basic understanding of social media marketing best practices.
It is important that you enjoy research and writing, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Skill/interest in video, photography or graphic design is considered a plus.
This is a full-time, salaried position.

We create all our own content: we must constantly think about what will be interesting to our audience, how we will add value and keep them coming back. Then we’ll do it all again tomorrow. We tell stories for a living. That involves engaging and communicating with an audience on social media, but it also requires the ability to communicate well with our clients, and each other. We’re a small company, and you will have a lot of opportunity to add your feedback. We need someone who wants to be heard.
We have a very collaborative office, and want to work with people who want to be part of a team. If you’re the kind of person who likes the door to their office closed, you probably won’t be happy here. (Our offices don’t actually have doors.)
Yes, we work online. But in order to accurately tell our clients' stories on social media, we have to get to know them offline, too. A large part of your job will be building relationships with clients and acting as their advocate. We work hard for our clients, but we like to socialize with them, too.
We want to work with people who are passionate. If you have the ability to get excited about something and throw yourself into it, you will fit in well here.
