We are looking for multiple proactive Manufacturing Engineer to join our expanding team. This is a unique opportunity where you will be part of developing and maintaining the manufacturing processes at Applied Medicals manufacturing facilities in Amersfoort (NL). As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support our medical device production and development teams by participating in product design improvements, product line expansions and troubleshooting issues related to processes and equipment.

You will be part of the Applied Medical Europe engineering team and report to the Process Engineering Manager (or higher). Within Applied Medical the title of this position is Process Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and assist in various development projects 
  • Design, develop and maintain sustainable manufacturing processes and procedures for new and existing products
  • Generate, develop and maintain engineering documents such as; project plans, test protocols/reports, manufacturing/quality instructions, engineering drawings, bill of materials, test procedures, etc.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for manufacturing/assembly processes and equipment
  • Review and evaluate non-conforming materials and customer experience reports including root cause analysis and disposition justifications
  • Research, develop, test, and qualify new materials, equipment, manufacturing processes and technologies for process improvement
  • Research and qualify new suppliers and vendors
  • Cooperate with other internal teams to ensure high quality products and to meet customer needs

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree (HTS/BSc/MSc) 
  • 2+ years’ experience in similar position is preferred
  • Basic understanding of mechanical reasoning, prototyping, manufacturing processes and raw materials
  • Analytical understanding of complex technical subjects
  • Hands-on approach for the evaluation and solution of technical problems
  • Experience with CAD modeling systems and drafting
  • Experience with Solidworks is preferred
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Fluency in Dutch is preferred
  • Currently living in the Netherlands
