  • Ensure that the store has the highest possible service level to customers and optimize the stock levels at lowest possible cost 
  • Ensure that all working methods described in IKEA Logistics manuals are implemented and that the store achieve a high efficiency in goods movement ( number of M3 per worked hour ) 
  • Manage and coordinate your sales leaders and coworkers that work with tasks associated with all movement of goods inside the store 
  • Ensure that your sales leaders and coworkers receive the proper training to perform their duties in a professional method 
  • Ensure that all coworkers that operate any type of machinery, especially fork lift trucks, are properly trained and licensed, if applicable, to prevent any work related accidents 
  • You are responsible for all the internal damages of goods, hence you must ensure that the coworkers are transporting these goods to the store with a proper care 
  • Allocate and build sales spaces in self-serve warehouse and full serve warehouse that will enable direct flow and low handling costs. 
  • Ensure that all warehouse areas are clean, tidy and safe. 
  • You are responsible to follow up with the transporters and to report any delayed shipment 
  • Update the logistics manager on the unloaded volume of the shipments and the out of stock unloaded items 
  • Ensure that the store refilling has been accomplished satisfactorily and that the store is ready for customers 
  • Ensure that the stock received or dispatched and the stock replenished are accurately registered in Navision. 
  • Ensure all shortages, excess or damages are properly claimed and registered in the system. 
  • Ensure the store always have sufficient stock of products in the sales locations. 
  • You are responsible to increase the efficiency of the warehousing and replenishment tasks within the store 
  • Support the sales and the com & In department in the creation of “ low cost” sales spaces within all sales locations 
  • Coordinate goods flow operations in receiving/replenishment before opening, and optimize outflow routines after opening at lowest possible cost to strengthen the IKEA low price
  • You are responsible to organize and monitor goods flow process, once received by the store and till it reaches the sales locations • You are responsible to implement, control and monitor basic logistics procedures in line with the IKEA WAY. • Act as an interface to secure administrative routines to maintain consistent stock balances. • Assist the sales and supply group leader in the development of annual goals and action plan for the warehouse. • Manage your team in the most cost-efficient and service-oriented way. • Contribute as a member of the logistics team and provide training to other departments to secure logistics knowledge. • Act as a super-user for the IT systems used for goods movement in the store, include defining requirements, writing change requests, support the IT team with updates, and act as an intermediary between the end-users and IT. • Adhere to inventory control procedure • Ensure training and adherence to safety and security routines • Create an environment where the IKEA Culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of Co-workers and customers • Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as they occur


Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum 3-5 years retail supervisory experience, goods-flow/supply knowledge preferred. 
  • Desire to work for a values-driven company. 
  • Must have a strong analytical and mathematical skills. 
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced retail or Logistics environment. 
  • Must have a forklift trainer certification, if applicable. 
  • Experience and interest in retailing and/or home furnishing. 
  • Must have multi-tasking capabilities. 
  • Experience of leading and managing a team Preferably gained in retailing and/or logistics. 
  • Must have an interest in home furnishings. 
  • Must be computer literate.
